Blood Of Olympus Review
WARNING: SPOILERS, Don’t read if yo haven’t read ‘Blood Of Olympus’
First off, things That I wasn’t happy with…
1. We only got one chapter with Leo and Calypso it.
I was expecting more than one chapter, I mean, I knew there wasn’t going to be a lot, but one? We don’t even get to see the rest of the seven seeing/meeting Calypso. I thought that was going to happen, and I was happy about it. Still I’m glad Leo’s not dead and that he has Calypso
2. Nico had a very short talk with Percy.
This might just be me, but I felt like what we found out about Nico was going to play a big (er) part in the last book, but the conversation between Percy and Nico didn’t even take up a page. Again this might be me and my obsession with Nico, (and Perico…)
3. Percy got knocked out underwater.
That was WTF moment. Shouldn’t the water have healed him? And then Jason saved him, I love Jason, but I don’t like him saving ‘hurt-underwater-hipster-son-of-poseidon-percy’. I happy Percy didn’t die though.
4. Frank and his wood.
How much tension was there on that wood through the series? Tons. I thought Frank was going to die (or almost die) because his wood was burning, even after Leo got him that fire-proof bag. The wood wasn’t important to the end. The only thing he really used the wood for was freeing death. Honestly, I was hoping that something happened with the wood.
5. Frank and Hazel (Will and Nico) don’t get an ending.
Percy and Annabeth: Going to new Rome, Jason and Piper: Being cute at camp half-blood., Frank and Hazel: ????, Nico and Will: ????. I wanted happy endings for ALL the couples. *Sad Panda*
Things most people hated that I didn’t
1. No Percy, Annabeth, Hazel, or Frank chapters. Too many Nico and Reyna chapters.
I have heard this everywhere, but I liked having Nico and Reyna chapters. And guys, think about this, Percy had the whole first series from his point of view, and a lot of this series. Annabeth didn’t really need chapters, ‘Mark of Athena’ was her book, and a lot of it was her POV. I loved the POV’s we did have
Things I LOVED
1. Nike battle.
The Popcorn, It’s deadly.
2. Dr.Who.
Leo mentioned Dr.Who. Leo- he could make a sonic screwdriver. Think about it.
3. Pancakes
“I’m a son a Poseidon, I can’t drown and neither can my Pancakes.” PS. Percy, I’m glad you can’t drown or that time you were underwater sleeping… Dead Percy.
4. Reyna’s backstory
For a lot of the series I had wanted to know what her deal was. We knew all the other stories, expect hers. I’m glad we got her POV.
5. Nico and Reyna’s POV’s
Two of my favorite character that weren’t really noticed before, now have POV’s. I Almost died when I got to the first Nico Chapters, he is even more perfect then I thought he would be. *Hug*
I’m sure there hundreds more, but I’m stopping now.

OVERALL
I loved this book, I was happy with it. I think some of the people who hate it, only hate it because it’s the end, the final end. Oh yeah, People who hated the book: It could have been so much worse. (Insert favorite character in the space provided) ——– could have died a slow painful death.
